how we can help

We represent  families in special education disputes against the NYC Department of Education and school districts throughout New York State.

Our work spans tuition reimbursement cases, compensatory services claims, and IEP advocacy and meeting representation.

01/ Tuition Funding

When public schools fail to meet a child's educational needs, parents often turn to private schools that can provide the appropriate support. We help families secure tuition funding, ensuring that the financial burden of seeking the appropriate education does not fall solely on the parents.

02/ Compensatory Services

If your child has been denied the services they are legally entitled to, we work to ensure they receive the support they need to catch up. This may include additional tutoring, therapy, or other specialized services to address the gaps caused by the school district's failure.

03/ IEP Advocacy & Meeting Representation

From Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings to due process hearings, we stand by your side to advocate for your child's rights and ensure their needs are met.

The Steps to Working Together

01 / Book a free consultation

We start with a conversation. We want to understand your child's situation, review relevant documents, and give you an honest assessment of whether you have a case and whether we are the right fit for each other.

02 / Sign your retainer agreement

If we decide to move forward together, we will send you a retainer agreement. Once that is in place, we get to work.

03 / We kick things off

We schedule an onboarding call to map out your case together. From that point forward, we guide you through the process and execute a reasoned legal strategy.

04 / We grow with your child

Special education needs change year to year. At the end of each case, we check in to assess where things stand and what the next school year may require. We may adapt our approach as your child grows and their needs evolve.
